Dear sahaja yogis!

In June 2010 we had a poll in Russia about Russian national council. According to the official information 94% of yogis approved the current council and 88% approved reelection. In the news we were told that the majority of sahaja yogis took part in the poll. The poll results were presented to the world collectivity as reelections and it was said that the Russian council will stay for 5 more years.(read more)

First of all many members of the collectivity cannot see what is going on because all the information in Russian collectivity is strictly controlled. Yogis are not allowed to speak freely via Internet, to meet whenever they want etc.

Let’s also see how the poll was organized.

In most of the cities the poll was not announced (I don’t think that even 20% of Russian yogis read e-mail news). Everything was done very quickly so yogis couldn’t form the voting strategy, to discuss this poll. Also many of those who knew about the poll tried to avoid it because they didn’t want to take part in this show. They think that the council does not have right to reelect itself. Many came to know about the poll only on the program and couldn’t understand its details. Many were misinformed.

In Moscow 200 yogis took part in the poll and the poll results were not announced. The council told that the results are only for Togliatti. Later we came to know that in Moscow 120 yogis voted for the council, 80 – against. But 200 yogis is not at all the whole collectivity! They had around 1000 on pujas and in 2005 there were 500-700 yogis on programs! Many was thrown out, many decided to stop coming to programs because they couldn’t accept the new style. So all the loyal yogis are coming to programs and voting, and all others are not coming or voting against.

In Saint-Petersburg 248 yogis out of 300 voted. 165 supported reelection, 83 – didn’t support. The rest didn’t take part in the poll. We suppose that most of the rest are against prolongation of the current council. Totally there are 500-600 yogis in Saint-Petersburg.

Few years earlier there were around 1000 yogis on pujas in Saint-Petersburg, now it is 500. So only 40-50% of yogis took part in the poll.

What about Togliatti, the center of the new style of government?

Of course more yogis in Togliatti support the council. It’s the main city on the Russian sahaj-map now. They collect all the money and they have few projects – school, medical hospital, academy, they have all the seminars etc. These things cover the fact that the structure of the current organization is far from what Shri Mataji wanted. But even there we have lots of yogis who do not accept what is going on. Many yogis stopped coming to programs. Few years ago they had 1500 yogis! Now it’s hardly 500.

In smaller collectivities the situation can be different. Mostly the number of yogis there decreased 2-3 times also and this 60-70% didn’t take part in any poll.

This “self-reelection” increased controversy in our collectivity. It is initiating other problems and also theoretically can cause problems in other countries.

The only way out is complete resignation of our national council and all local councils and coordinators. Later the Russian council announced big change in the council membership which means that the most loyal local council members were included in the national council. Big change, eh…
